Bank Residential Support Worker – Experienced in EBD Care

Location: Chipping, near Preston

Pay: £12.50–£13.00 per hour (based on experience)

Waking Nights: £15 per hour

Sleep-in Rate: £50

24-Hour Shift Rate (including sleep-in): £230+

Expected Hours: 8 to 14 hours per week (based on 3–5 shifts per month)

What You'll Do

  • Provide therapeutic care and emotional support to children aged 7–18
  • Support with daily routines, education, meals, activities and appointments
  • Encourage positive behaviour, structure, and independence
  • Build trusted relationships through consistent, trauma informed care
  • Administer medication and maintain accurate daily records
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to provide stability and consistency

Who We're Looking For

  • At least 12 months' experience working in a children's EBD residential home (essential)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or working towards it) preferred
  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (essential due to rural location)
  • Calm, confident, and resilient in challenging situations
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, behaviour management and trauma informed practice
  • Flexible to cover a range of shifts including sleep ins, waking nights, weekends and holidays
