We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in nurturing and developing the potential of young children in a safe and stimulating environment. This position requires a strong commitment to early childhood education and the ability to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Duties
- Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's development across all areas of learning.
- Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere for children and their families.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their individual learning journeys.
- Foster effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child's development and encouraging parental involvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high standards of care and education are maintained within the nursery setting.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting positive interactions among children.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and early years frameworks.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
- A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications is highly desirable.
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide and support junior staff members.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for potential off-site activities or visits.
