Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Support children's daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and hygiene practices.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a collaborative learning environment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Assist with food preparation and serving snacks or meals as needed, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met.
  • Support classroom management strategies that promote respectful behavior and cooperation among children.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in early childhood education or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training or certifications are advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and age-specific educational strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with young children, parents, and team members.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently to balance planning, supervision, and administrative tasks.
  • Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and basic food preparation is desirable.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus for managing snack or meal sales if applicable.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions or managing supplies accurately.
  • A caring attitude with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for early childhood education.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred but can be provided upon hiring if not already obtained.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: £24,420.00-£40,887.83 per year
