As a Seed Sales Manager, you will lead, guide, and educate the AGRILAND FS sales and support team through trainings and in the field experiences.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide marketing and sales leadership for the District Seed Sales Specialists, Crop Specialists, and location teams.
  • Work closely with Agronomy Sales Managers to develop seed strategies and best practices that will be predictive of seed growth and success.
  • Lead implementation of all seed strategies and programs to meet objectives.
  • Provide proactive leadership for training/developmental plans that improves marketing effectiveness and serves as foundation for seed sales across the sales team.
  • Establish seed performance standards, goals and development/implementation of business plans for achieving company financial objectives.
  • Identify and implement best practices which lead to strong financial performance and outstanding customer service.
  • Provide input for company seed marketing, operational, business and procurement strategies and program development.
  • Assist in providing technical information for agronomy, seed sales and marketing.

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agronomy Business or equivalent thereof, plus 5-7 years' sales experience
  • Sales and leadership experience
  • Knowledge of seed, fertilizer, and crop protection products
  • Knowledge of market analysis, pricing strategies, and supply forecasts
  • Sales leadership and knowledge of closing techniques
  • Ability to build relationships, identify producer needs and make multi-product proposals
  • Planning, time management and organizational skills
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. Require overnight travel on a limited basis
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds as needed
