Head of Sales – Smart Meters (UK & Ireland)

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Sales – Smart Meters to lead our client's market expansion, build strong relationships with key industry players, and drive revenue growth. This is a high-profile role, responsible for increasing market share, positioning innovative products and solutions, and delivering business goals across the UK and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives to drive growth across all smart metering segments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with electricity retailers, network companies, Meter Asset Providers (MAPs), Metering & Billing (M&B) providers, standard-making authorities, regulators, and policy makers.
- Achieve revenue and margin targets by ensuring balance between demand generation and demand fulfilment.
- Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and CRM (Salesforce) processes to ensure efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
- Lead commercial contract negotiations and secure key business deals.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, regulations, and government policies, ensuring the business remains a leading voice in shaping the future of smart metering.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including application engineering, marketing, and operations, to deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and development to the sales team, ensuring they are equipped to drive business growth.
- Ensure excellent customer service and oversee resolution of customer complaints effectively.

- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing high-value contracts and negotiations.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels, from key accounts to regulatory bodies.
- Expertise in sales forecasting, strategic planning, and financial performance management.
- A forward-thinking leader who can mentor and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Strong knowledge of industry regulations, government policies, and competitive landscapes.
