About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Operations Manager to lead a dedicated team of Operational Supervisors and Cleaning Operatives in delivering exceptional service for our contract. Your role will be pivotal in upholding BICS industry standards and ensuring adherence to all Health & Safety requirements in a fast-paced working environment. With a focus on leadership, innovation, and operational excellence, you'll drive both team performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership: Oversee and manage a team of Operational Supervisors and Cleaning Operatives to ensure service standards and client expectations are met.
* Resource Management: Manage staffing levels and recruitment processes in alignment with the contracts resource plans and operating model.
* People Management: Handle all aspects of team management, including induction, probation, performance development, absence management, and employee relations.
* Budget Oversight: Manage budgets for consumables, overseeing orders through internal systems to ensure cost efficiency.
* Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections, "Manager in the Field" rounds, and audit reviews to ensure compliance with BICS standards and contractual obligations.
* Client Relations: Serve as a point of contact for client inquiries, providing timely responses and effective complaint resolution.
* Training and Development: Provide training to Operational Supervisors on risk assessment, toolbox talks, on-the-job refresher training, and ensure safe equipment operation.
* Health & Safety: Champion best practices for PPE use, lone working, and general health and safety across the team.
* Continuous Improvement: Lead change initiatives through innovative practices and continuous improvement to enhance operational processes.
* Reporting: Generate monthly reports and collaborate closely with clients to maintain strong relationships and ensure satisfaction.

Requirements:
* Experience: Proven experience in people management with strong leadership skills and experience in customer audit processes.
* Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other MS systems.
* Qualifications: Line management experience or qualification is required.
* Preferred: Experience in facilities management or a similar function is desirable.
* Other: Current driving license and the ability to obtain SC Clearance.
