Trauma Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Trauma Support Specialist to join our team in North Cumberland. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support services to victims of sexual violence and abuse, working within a multi-agency framework.
Estimated Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those affected by crime. As a Trauma Support Specialist, you will work closely with survivors, other agencies, and partners to deliver a pro-active service, monitoring care pathways and ensuring that clients receive the necessary support.
You will be responsible for providing risk assessments, helping clients access their rights, and connecting them with relevant services. Experience of working with victims of sexual violence and other service providers is desirable, although we welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate transferable skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing trauma-informed support services to victims of sexual violence and abuse
- Working within a multi-agency framework to deliver a pro-active service
- Monitoring care pathways and ensuring clients receive necessary support
- Conducting risk assessments and helping clients access their rights
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Extensive experience of planning and delivering caseloads
- Strong crisis management skills and understanding of victim needs
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new situations
- Good IT skills and knowledge of criminal justice issues
