Victim Support Specialist
About the Role:This role is based in Ulverston, South Cumbria, with a combination of home and office working. The main purpose of this position is to provide high-quality proactive service to victims of sexual violence and abuse, including children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:- Delivering a comprehensive service to victims of sexual violence and abuse, focusing on those at highest risk and need.
- Collaborating with the Bridgeway SARC and other local partnership responses to sexual violence to ensure effective care pathways.
- Conducting risk assessments and helping clients access their rights, while providing additional support as necessary.
- A strong commitment to supporting victims of sexual violence, with a willingness to adapt to their needs.
- Previous experience of working with victims of sexual violence and other service providers and agencies in a statutory, voluntary, social, or community setting.
- Excellent crisis management skills, with a deep understanding of the needs of victims experiencing sexual violence.
- An approved and accredited ISVA qualification is preferable, although candidates with the right approach and a willingness to work towards ISVA accreditation will also be considered.
The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive a range of benefits, including flexible working options, a pension scheme, and access to ongoing training and support.
