Rape Crisis Response Coordinator

About the Role:

This role is based in Ulverston, South Cumbria, with a combination of home and office working. The main purpose of this position is to provide high-quality proactive service to victims of sexual violence and abuse, including children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating the response to victims of sexual violence and abuse, ensuring timely and effective support.
  • Working closely with the Bridgeway SARC and other local partnership responses to sexual violence to develop and implement effective care pathways.
  • Providing risk assessments and helping clients access their rights, while offering additional support as necessary.
Requirements:
  • A strong passion for supporting victims of sexual violence, with a willingness to adapt to their needs.
  • Previous experience of working with victims of sexual violence and other service providers and agencies in a statutory, voluntary, social, or community setting.
  • Excellent crisis management skills, with a deep understanding of the needs of victims experiencing sexual violence.
  • An approved and accredited ISVA qualification is preferable, although candidates with the right approach and a willingness to work towards ISVA accreditation will also be considered.
