Cumbria, United Kingdom Remedi - Restorative Services Full time

Are you motivated?

Do you want to make a difference every day?

Can you adapt to change and be solution focused?

**If yes, then we’d love to hear from you**

**PROFILE**

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a brand-new initiative and the development of a large dedicated Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Team in Cumbria which will provide a victim and perpetrator response to ASB reported in the community.

You will provide support to a team of ASB caseworkers who will undertake outreach activities with those responsible for the harm and the victims feeling harmed by the behaviours, while also linking in closely with the Constabulary.

The post holder will also need to build a strong partnership relationship with another organisation who will be a key partner in the success of the project.

As Coordinator, you will be one of the first points of contact for all staff in relation to casework and safeguarding concerns. It is essential that you have knowledge of and experience of dealing with safeguarding vulnerable adults and children.

The role of Community Engagement Coordinator will involve:

- Supporting the management of day to day delivery of the service, for example referrals, allocations, casework and ensuring any diverse needs are identified and supported from both a service user and staffing perspective from the point of referral and throughout the process.
- Supporting staff to deliver a wide range of Remedi and partner interventions that support the outcomes expected from the project.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with local focus hub partners, community groups, charities and organisations.
- Raising awareness of the service across Cumbria by organising thematic events and regular community drop ins, ensuring communities feel they can input into the service and feel heard.
- Ensure opportunities for reflection and developing new innovative ways of working that adequately respond to local needs.
- Actively working with communities that are perceived to be culturally, economically or geographically disadvantaged to support with accessing the service.
- Deputise for the manager, as and when required.
- Development and distribution of community newsletter of the work undertaken.

The Remedi team in Cumbria have positive relationships with partner agencies and this is something we pride ourselves on - you will be expected to build and maintain these relationships and promote the service.

**The skills and qualities you will need to do the job well are**:
**Communication**:

- You will need to communicate with members of your and partner organisation teams, a wide range of professionals and service users. You will be required to provide detailed and accurate reports regarding the service and will be required to undertake presentations in various settings regarding work undertaken.

**Leadership Skills - **You will need to motivate a team of professional people, provide effective line management, provide professional supervision, lead by example and ensure all team members feel valued and recognised in their roles.

**Flexibility
- **You will be required to support all services within the Cumbria ASB contract, therefore you will need to take a flexible approach to your work. You may be required to cover the team on evenings or weekends.

**Motivation-**The role of coordinator can be quite demanding and fast paced, but is also incredibly rewarding. We want you to embrace the role and face complexities in a positive manner. As first point of contact for the teams, you will need to ensure the teams are motivated at all times to ensure contractual requirements are met, whilst supporting individual staff wellbeing.

**IT Capable-** You will be asked to record and monitor accurate data; therefore, it is essential that you are proficient in using:

- Electronic calendar
- Word
- Excel
- Microsoft TEAMS/Zoom

**Safety
- **We want you to work safely in all aspects of your role. This will mean following our own internal policies and procedures and will require you to consider safety in relation to the following aspects:

- Safeguarding
- Lone Working
- General Data Protection Regulation
- Confidentiality

**WHAT TO EXPECT - **The role covers the whole of Cumbria and expenses are covered for visits in the community, but you will need access to your own vehicle.

We strive to create a balance between working from home and working collaboratively with colleagues.

You will have a line manager who you will meet individually at least once a month and they will also be available during the week to provide support and guidance.

We will provide:

- Full training
- A laptop and mobile phone
- Line management support and guidance
- The role requires a Police Vetting - Level 2 and an enhanced DBS check

- Starting salary £25,500 rising to £27,580 at the end of Year 2 in role
- 6% employer pension contribution
- 26 days leave per annum plus bank holidays

**Salary**: From £25,500
