Job summary We are offering an exciting leadership opportunity to join our Provider Improvement Response Team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Lead Nurse who is motivated to go that extra mile and lead a successful and effective team.
We are seeking a dynamic and solution focused nurse who is an effective leader with a proven track record of delivering quality improvements.
This is a crucial role in driving improvements in the quality of the adult care market.
This key role in care market assurance will manage a joint health and social care team with both nurses and local authority officers.
The aim of the team is to work with the highest risks in the care market, including services at risk of closure, those in large scale enquiry or those subject to CQC enforcement action, to deliver the required improvements.
As Lead Nurse you will also be instrumental in delivering quality improvement projects to support providers towards 'outstanding' with the Care Quality Commission.
There is an expectation that where there are urgent closures or significant safeguarding risks, there may be a requirement to work evenings or weekends, however the normal working pattern will be Monday-Friday.
The position will have a combination of on-site visits at care services and office work and will require travel across the County.
You will be employed by MPFT.
The day to day line management for this role and the PIRT team will be held by Staffordshire County Council.
Main duties of the job As Lead Nurse you will be required to work autonomously, support teams and providers to deliver on performance targets, action plans and quality improvement projects.
Although the team's focus will be to prevent closure of care services, in circumstances where there is risk of an urgent closure, the Lead nurse would coordinate the health and social system response.
