Job summary We are a busy, friendly GP practice based in Eccles , Manchester , with a rising population, looking for enthusiastic people to join our reception team.Shift patterns are to be confirmed and will be inclusive of some 8am start times and some 6:30pm finish times, all of which are shared equally amongst all the staff.
3 roles are available with 25 hour shifts.Experience would be preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
We would ask that previous applicants need not apply.The vacancies we have are varied roles and inclusive of full care navigation duties and whilst offering admin support for our clinical team.Reception Front desk coverBack Office AdminPersonal/professional development:The post-holder will participate in any training programme implemented by the practice as part of this employment.Operational Policies, Procedures and Protocols (information for everyone who works at the practice including employees, locums, district nurses, agency workers, contractors, partners)All practice policies and procedures are accessible via IQ CQC toolkit available on all desktops.Safeguarding - all staff must act on any concerns they have about the safety or welfare of a child, young person or vulnerable adult.
All staff are encouraged to speak to management or Dr. Whittaker immediately with any concerns.
Alternatively the Safeguarding Team can be contacted directly for further advice.
The policy is available in the A1 folder placed on all desktops.
Main duties of the job Reception Front desk coverGreet patients/visitors Check in patients for appointments Book appointments & deal with queries at the desk Accept patient samples & inform nurse/HCA Accept deliveries and also inform staff member who is to sort delivery items Check stock/equipment levels New patient forms, Prescription request forms, Midwife referral forms, sample bottles & any other items that may be needed during the dayBack OfficeAnswer Phones, book appointments & deal with all enquiries(refer to appropriate clinical/administrative staff if necessary) Take home visit requests, print encounter forms Death notification - take full details Apply Care Navigation as per practice protocol Minor ailment referral Book interpreters, check confirmation, and input into appointments (as policy) Check GP out trays /send letters Filing Inform patients of test results Incoming mail, process & distribute appropriately Docman letters Medical/insurance reports, ensure requests are inputted onto the computer.Personal/professional development:Any mandatory training required as part of the role, eg BLS, Fire Safety, Safeguarding adults and children About us We are a busy, friendly GP practice based in Eccles , Manchester , with a rising population, looking for enthusiastic people to join our reception team.
