CURE is recognised nationally as best practice (referenced in the NHS Long Term Plan and the National Respiratory & Lung Cancer GIRFT reports) with MFT clinicians being instrumental in its developments to date. The CURE team presently operates at Wythenshawe hospital, MRI and North Manchester general Hospital.

We require enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivated individual who will be able to manage a team of navigators across the MFT sites. You may be asked to travel to other sites to support the teams

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the exciting CURE team which has the potential to improve access to tobacco addiction treatments.

37.5hours per week

The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of the patient pathway through the MFT CURE service. The successful individual will liaise closely with the clinical teams. He/she will work independently to collect and provide all information required by the clinical team, in order to agree a patient’s journey. They will be responsible for ensuring all communication between MFT and external trusts is efficient and timely and will be encouraged to devise innovative ways to manage such information. The post holder will also be responsible for the organisation and day to day management of the navigator team.

He/she will be an integral part of the Treating Tobacco Addiction, supporting the team in meeting all requirements set locally, nationally.

He/she will monitor and track patients against all national targets within the agreed specialty(s), liaising with all staff levels to assist the patient’s journey, the clinical team and the trust in meeting the standard key indicators.

He/she will work independently, planning, and organising own time, design and implement systems to improve and develop the MFT CURE team. They will use strong persuasive and negotiation skills and demonstrate tact when dealing with conflicting team requirements.

They will monitor and track all screening patients against national targets, liasing with all staff levels to assist the patients journey.

You will need to travel across site to the Other CURE teams
