TheRecovery at Home Team are looking to recruit Admin Assistant/Call Handlers tojoin their team due to expansion in service.Recoveryat Home provide Urgent Community Response and Virtual Ward Services, across SouthTyneside and Sunderland, the team are based in Clarendon, Hebburn.Theteam consist of an extensive MDT which includes nurse practitioners, nurses, ageneral practitioner, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, health careassistants, therapy assistant/exercise practitioners and administrative staff.Our virtual ward is overseen by a Consultant.
The team also works closelyalongside partner agencies including those from social care, assistivetechnology and voluntary sector services.Asan Admin Assistant/call handler you would be the first point of contact dealingwith calls from patients, service users and colleagues.
The service is a fastpaced often with multiple demands so excellent organisational skills andflexible approach to work is needed.
Servicehours are:Monday-Sundaybetween hours of Exampleshifts:8am 2pm4pm-12pm12pm 8am8am 8pmAllocated8 weeks in advance across working week Monday to Sunday.Weare looking to recruit several Admin Assistant/Call Handlers to work the aboveshift patterns.
The expectation would be staff work across all shift patternson rota basis.
Main duties of the job The successful candidate will be hardworking and be patientfocused.
They will be organised and have the ability to prioritise workloadwithout direct supervision.
There is an expectationto work between the hours of 8am and 8pm 7 days week, therefore the successfulcandidate will need to have flexible approach to work to and be adaptable toservice need as in times of shortfalls there will be an expectation to covereither South Tyneside and Sunderland dependent on service need.The successfulcandidate should have excellent communication skills with attention to detail,ensuring accurate and timely inputting/updating of patient details, appointments and information into clinical records.This is exciting opportunity to join a fast paced, expanding team withinthe Community Division

To provide administrative / call handler support to the teams over 7 days per week between the hours of 8am and 8pm.
To provide an administrative service to Recovery at Home South Tyneside and Sunderland supporting the delivery of an efficient and effective service to patients, service users and colleagues.
Ensure accurate and timely inputting and updating of patient details, appointments and information into clinical records.
To provide an initial point of contact for patients, service users and colleagues accessing the service via telephone calls.
To work as part of an integrated team.

Proven ability to demonstrate organizational and planning skills with regard to providing an efficient service.
Proven ability to provide an efficient administrative service using initiative.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently without close supervision.
Desirable Experience in the provision of administrative support to a clinical service or department.
Experience of working in a care setting.
Previous NHS knowledge.
Skills and Knowledge Essential Ability to relate to a broad spectrum of individuals and handle queries/enquiries efficiently.
Excellent telephone manner.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work flexibly to the needs of the service.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Desirable Knowledge of Information Technology in the workplace.
Knowledge of the Trusts policies and procedures and the importance of the Data Protection Act.
Working knowledge of EMIS Web.
Personal Attributes Essential Indicate a willingness and ability to support other team members.
Ability to provide flexible committed support with the ability to adapt to developing service needs.
Desirable Ability to cope with demands of a changing organisation.
Ability to remain calm in times of high demand on the service.
Qualifications Essential NVQ 3 in Administration or equivalent experience.
