Job summary Anexciting opportunity has arisen within Suffolk and North East Essex IntegratedCare Board (SNEE ICB) to recruit a Band 8a Deputy Operational Lead for theClinical Services Department which includes NHS Continuing Healthcare, ClinicalPriorities, and Neuro Rehab on a 12-month fixed term contract.Therole will oversee a range of service improvement projects to supportoperational change and improvement across the Clinical Services Department withinitial focus on projects related to NHS Continuing Healthcare including caremarket management, and commissioning, ensuring compliance with all relevantlegislation, frameworks, and governance arrangements.Thepost holder will be formally accountable to the Head of Operations and be a keymember of the Clinical Services Department senior management team.
The successful candidate will work closelywith colleagues within the wider ICB as well as system partners such as LocalAuthorities, and care providers building trusted relationships to enhancecollaborative working.Ifyou would like to know more, or have any questions about the role pleasecontact Lucy Game, Head of Operations Clinical Services Department at Main duties of the job To successfully shape,deliver and embed long-term service improvements to advance the ClinicalServices Department and play a key role in the ongoing programme ofimprovements.To lead, motivate and engage the staff involved in service improvementprojects, allocating tasks as appropriate, identifying risks, issues anddependencies, considering best practice and current options to inform decisionmaking that is in the best interest of the service.To collaborate, and develop strong networks with multiple stakeholdersand partners to ensure alignment and coordination of work to maximise impact.To work in partnership with others and as part of cross directorateteams to deliver successful service improvements and outcomes.To utilise necessarysoftware/tools for maximising the benefits of the digital patient informationmanagement system, specifically to inform future commissioning decisions, caremarket engagement and management, financial planning and price structuring, andto identify efficiency drivers.To lead on care marketdevelopment work with Suffolk and Essex County Councils working collaborativelyon joint contracts and frameworks, and representing the ICB at relevantmeetings including with Independent Care provider associations.Represent the ICB onthe NHSE Contracts and Commissioning Support Forum for NHS CHC and assess andadvise senior management of the impact of any planned announcements/changes toensure preparedness.

Job description Job responsibilities This is anexciting and challenging role that will provide the successful individual theopportunity to support operational change and service delivery including toshape, deliver and embed service improvements across the Clinical Services Departmentwhich include NHS Continuing Healthcare, Clinical Priorities, and Neuro Rehabilitation.The role will focuson service and performance improvement and efficiencies by taking a lead forspecific change projects where agreed, such as business processes, dataquality, systems and technology, whilst working within the parameters ofrelevant legislation and frameworks relating to the various services within theClinical Services Department.The postholderwill work to ensure change is integrated into the programme and project plansand resourced accordingly.
The role will be responsible for providing adviceand guidance and contribute to development of short-, medium-, and long-termbusiness plans, and the development of associated operational policies andprocedures.The DeputyOperational Lead for the Clinical Services Department will work to ensure identifiedchange is integrated into the Clinical Services Departments.
