Job Description

B2B business embarking on a transformation programme and new service offering is looking for an experienced internal communications professional to lead the communications function and employee engagement for an initial 12 month period. They consider themselves a disruptor to the sector and keen to develop a modern working culture that matches. Very much about a digital transformation for comms and modernising how the engage employees.


Advising CEO and leadership team on internal communications and employee engagement strategy and delivering plan as well as advising on external affairs – annual report, reputation management and managing agency providers.


Specifically:

  • Work with leadership team on corporate narrative and messaging for internal and external stakeholders – coach and help define culture approach
  • Audit current comms channels, tone of voice and strategy and put in an improvement programme and recommendations to modernise
  • Develop leadership visibility programme and employee engagement strategy
  • Lead on transformation project communications
  • Advise on external employer brand work as well as EVP
  • Lead on financial announcements, Annual Report and any crisis comms with support from agency


Candidates must have previous internal communications experience and demonstrate where they have put in place new channels and modernised approach. Ideally within technology sector and if not, b2b where they have lead a progressive digital transformation and introduced new channels. Also demonstrate experience of advising on external relations and working with agencies.


Flex working is 1 – 2 days a month in the office. It is a contract so ideally notice of 1 month or less.
