Manchester, United Kingdom The Christie NHS Foundation Trust Full time

If you're a talented communications professional with a passion for making a difference - someone who thrives in a busy and fast paced environment - now's your chance to join us at The Christie and play a key role in strengthening our internal communications and engagement with our staff.

Our communications team deliver communications across a variety of channels, including news stories, regular e-bulletins, briefings, social media and our magazine for staff. It is vital that we get our internal communications right and you will play a key role in strengthening our messaging to and engaging with our staff.

We're looking for an experienced and dynamic communications professional to work with colleagues across the organisation to contribute to internal communications and specific staff projects, such as our annual staff awards. ‘Connect with People’ is one of our values and you’ll have a vital role in bringing this to life in multiple, imaginative ways, supporting the work of a range of colleagues. You'll be required to work with teams across the Trust to gain their views on internal communications and their suggestions for improvements, and use staff feedback to recommend and implement new initiatives to improve internal communications and ensure our staff view The Christie as a great place to work.

Your main duties relate to producing high quality engaging content and by developing creative ways of conveying important news and information to our staff. You'll do this through encouraging two-way communication through, for example, surveys, suggestion schemes, workshops, and social networking tools.

You'll also be working closely with our organisational development team and be involved in event management - supporting and promoting a range of events including our annual staff awards, diversity initiatives, and staff recognition schemes.

In addition to this, you’ll also work on campaigns such as our seasonal vaccination campaign, national NHS campaigns and a range of other staff initiatives.
