Manchester, United Kingdom Turning Point Full time

**Job Introduction**:
What does it take to become a leading health and social care organisation in the UK? It takes people who can turn lives around every day - providing encouragement, delivering innovative services and generally improving life for individuals with a learning disability or those affected by drug and alcohol misuse or mental health problems. But it’s not just our front-line teams that make a difference. So do the dedicated professionals who work behind the scenes to support the vital work we do? And that’s where you can come in.

We are now seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Internal Communications and Engagement Officer to join our dynamic team.

This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact through engaging storytelling, innovative communication campaigns and the management of our recognition scheme and associated events.

The role is based in Manchester on a hybrid basis.

**Role Responsibility**:
Your main responsibilities will include:

- Create compelling content that connects our colleagues to our purpose and activities
- Manage our Inspired by Possibility Awards recognition scheme from promotion through to event planning and delivery
- Coordinate an ongoing plan of internal communication activity to keep the Employee Communications team connected

To be considered for the role you will need to have at least 2 years’ experience in a communications role - you might have worked as a communications assistant or officer recently and you are eager to make the next step in your career on the path towards a communications manager role.

We are also looking for:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging and persuasive content
- Demonstrable experience working on events
- Confidence in working with, and measuring effectiveness of, communication tools such as the M365 suite including SharePoint, Viva Engage & MS Teams or similar
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively
- A proactive and creative mindset, with a passion for driving colleague engagement and wellbeing

**About us**:
As a leading health and social care provider with more than 300 locations across England, we take real pride in the services we offer.

We run all of our services on a not-for-profit basis; instead, we invest every penny back into our services and people. We never stop believing in change for the better, and we work constantly to improve the lives of the people we support.
