We are exclusively recruiting for a Head of IT for a fast-growing, globally recognised organisation to lead its technology strategy, overseeing a high-performing IT function and leveraging cutting-edge technologies which delivers transformative results.
 
About the Role
As the Head of IT, you will define and implement an IT strategy aligned with the company's ambitious growth plans. You’ll oversee IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operations, ensuring systems are robust, scalable, and secure. This role offers a blend of strategic leadership and operational oversight, making IT a critical enabler of business success.
 
In this high-impact position, you’ll mentor and lead diverse teams while collaborating closely with other departments to deliver seamless, technology-driven solutions. If you thrive in a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment and are passionate about leveraging emerging technologies like cloud computing, AI, and machine learning, this role is for you.
 
An essential part of this role is to ensure 100% system uptime to stop financial penalties from clients.
 
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute an IT roadmap to support innovation, scalability, and security.
Strategic IT Leadership: Set and implement IT rules, standards, and processes, aligning them with organisational goals.
Infrastructure Management: Oversee hybrid IT infrastructure, including SaaS, Linux, Cloud technologies, Docker, and ElasticSearch.
System Uptime: Ensure critical systems operate with maximum availability to prevent downtime that could impact clients.
Security Oversight: Develop and maintain robust cybersecurity strategies, meeting compliance requirements and achieving security clearance standards.
Process Improvement: Continuously review and enhance IT processes to support scalability and efficiency.
Crisis Management: Act decisively during IT incidents to ensure rapid recovery and minimal operational disruption.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a skilled IT team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure IT aligns with broader business objectives.
On-Site Leadership: Be present in the office at least four days a week to oversee operations and build team synergy. About You
You are an experienced IT leader with a proven track record of driving strategic transformation and managing complex IT environments. You thrive in leadership roles, mentoring teams, and managing cross-functional collaboration.
 
Essential Skills

Experience: 7–10 years of IT leadership experience, with a proven track record of implementing IT processes in complex environments.
Technical Knowledge: Strong expertise in hybrid IT environments, including SaaS platforms, Linux, cloud technologies, and containerization tools like Docker.
SaaS Background: Essential experience managing IT for SaaS environments with a focus on uptime and reliability.
Security Clearance: UK residency for the last five years to meet security clearance requirements.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and solve problems proactively.
Flexibility: Comfortable balancing process-driven operations with the ability to step in and resolve urgent technical challenges. What’s on Offer
