Overview
We are supporting a growing, specialist testing equipment company that is seeking a brand-new Technical BDM to the structure due to expansion of their product line that is expected to accelerate the business to the next level. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company continually developing cutting edge technology with succession planning in mind looking forwards.
The Role
Reporting directly into the MD, day to day you will be working closely with the engineering team, engage with customers both already know and new to develop ways into the new sectors, liaising and managing a distribution network for wider reach and critically closing orders.
From a technical point of view, you won’t be designing the equipment but expected to understand engineering processes, the difference in site requirements, how it can be deployed and the risk factors involved.
Their base is situated in South Manchester and the customer scope is global so worldwide travel will be applicable for this role.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
* Technical background (STEM discipline) Science, Engineering Maths)
* Commercially astute
* Have experience working for manufacturers that supply into the Petrochemical, Oil or Gas, Water Treatment sectors within the EMEA
* Ideally you will have a network within the Petrochemical / Oil and Gas sector
* Creative thinker, out of the box solutions
* Strong at building professional relationships
* Collaborative team working, respect other points of view
* Flexible for worldwide travel
* Within a commutable distance to the Manchester area
