Job Title: Personal Assistant and Office Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and efficient Personal Assistant and Office Manager to provide administrative support to the Principal and manage the school's administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide administrative support to the Principal, including managing their diary, prioritising and forwarding communications, and vetting incoming calls.
  • To manage the school's administrative functions, including reception, administration, and reprographics.
  • To line manage school administration staff, including performance management.
  • To clerk School Council meetings, including preparation of agendas, minute taking, and managing governor appointments and terms of office.

Requirements:

  • GCSE English and Maths at a Grade C or higher, or equivalent.
  • Relevant Level 3 qualification, for example in Business Admin.
  • Experience of working in a PA role (or suitable administrative experience).
  • Experience of leading, managing, and motivating staff and providing clear vision and direction.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of audiences, verbally and in writing, with the ability to gain credibility at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to use standard ICT packages including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to relate to students in a pleasant and sympathetic manner and to recognise potential child safeguarding issues.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered to the update service, or the willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
