Job Title: Principal Engineer - Computing and IT (Network)

Location:

We are recruiting for a Principal Engineer - Computing and IT (Network) to join our Platform Complex Systems Delivery team in Coventry. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly skilled and motivated team delivering complex systems to support our submarines programs.

Estimated Salary: Up to £61,500 per annum depending on skillsets and experience

About the Role:

  • Develop design solutions to meet agreed time, cost, and quality requirements in accordance with project or business milestones.
  • Manage requirements and acceptance criteria specific to systems and products across the platform or programmes.
  • Attend factory acceptance tests and assist in developing test procedures.
  • Produce documentation required to support the design review process.
  • Ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive and captured within requirements management tools.
  • Undertake design reviews and presentations to stakeholders.
  • Potential opportunity to provide team mentorship at Principal level.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Hold a STEM degree such as BEng (Hons)/MEng or relevant experience in IT Computing.
  • Demonstrable technical report writing and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience of the systems engineering lifecycle.
  • Track record of working within network infrastructure systems design.
