Data Science Engineer

As a Data Science Engineer - Climate Modelling at the Met Office, you'll play a key role in developing and deploying machine learning models that inform our weather forecasting and climate prediction capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in data science, software development, and cloud infrastructure. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-based systems that support our scientific research.
**Salary:** £55,000 - £75,000 per annum

**Job Description:**
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deploy machine learning models using popular libraries such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate data science solutions into existing infrastructure
- Work with data analysts to develop and maintain data visualizations and reports
- Design and develop scalable cloud-based systems using AWS and other cloud platforms
**Requirements:**
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in data science, preferably in machine learning and deep learning
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL
- Strong understanding of data science concepts, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation
