We're seeking an exceptional Foundation Scientific Software Engineer to help us make a difference in the field of weather and climate research. As a member of the Data Science Capability team, you will play a key role in enabling the use of data science and machine learning within the National Capability domain.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to or lead software engineering effort on machine learning focused projects that deliver value in the National Capability domain.
  • Work with researchers and other experts to understand requirements for platforms and tools.
  • Develop and promote good practices for software engineering.

Your total reward package will include an estimated salary of up to £37,776 annually, which includes an outstanding Civil Service pension, Recruitment Retention Allowance, and annual leave starting at 27.5 days rising to 32.5 days after 5 years.
