About the Role

The Event Director is responsible for the strategic development and financial performance of the World Travel Market (WTM) brand and event, one of RX Global's largest and most important events. This role has a high level of profile, both internally and externally within the global travel industry.

The successful candidate is responsible for identifying and evaluating strong and sustainable growth opportunities, using customer insights to develop new service/product solutions or brand extensions based upon customer needs.

Key responsibilities include owning the vision, strategy, goals, decisions, and policies of RXUK, driving the brand and event revenue, strategic development, and high-quality delivery, and being accountable for all activities related to your brand.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate credibility in brand & product management.
  • Have experience in building successful brands/events.
  • Demonstrate a track record of successfully building new business segments while growing existing portfolios.
  • Demonstrate high levels of planning at both an operational and strategic level.
  • Have experience in establishing strategic alliances/business communities.
