About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Procurement Expert to join our team at Croydon Council. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of a strategic procurement service, focusing on the council's critical procurements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver procurement solutions that provide cashable savings and process efficiencies for the organisation while improving outcomes for our residents.
  • Provide commercial input into the development of medium to higher risk/complex business cases through the provision of research, data and overall analysis of market viability.
  • Lead the end-to-end tender process for assigned procurements, ensuring full compliance to standards and practices for tendering.
  • Support the promotion of the compliant use of procurement and purchasing (P2P) processes & systems for the assigned areas.
  • Make recommendations based on early engagement with suppliers, stakeholders and using lessons learned from other relevant contracts.
