Job Overview

This position involves working with schools, families, and individuals to address attendance issues and promote improved outcomes for pupils. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and adapt to different environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • To visit homes and schools to provide support and guidance to students and families
  • To work closely with Headteachers and other Senior Staff to develop strategies for improving attendance and reducing absence
  • To use IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, to maintain records and produce reports
  • To liaise with external agencies to access resources and services that benefit students

Skills and Qualifications

  • A full driving license and use of a car
  • An experienced professional with a proven track record in delivering services that improve student outcomes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to different environments
  • Mediation skills and experience of using IT systems
