About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Midwife to join our team in South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 5/6 Midwifery Post, you will be responsible for providing safe, effective, and compassionate midwifery care to women, babies, and families.

The role involves working across various maternity settings, including community and hospital environments. You will be expected to work a proportion of weekends and bank holidays, as well as rotation between day and night duty.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing midwifery-led care to women during pregnancy, labor, and postnatal periods.
  2. Delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring adherence to NMC guidelines and Trust policies.
  3. Supporting shift leaders and team leaders to achieve organizational objectives.
Requirements
  • NMC registration as a Registered Midwife.
  • Degree in Midwifery studies or evidence of working towards this qualification.
  • Mentorship certificate or equivalent experience.
