We are seeking a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in neurodisability to join our esteemed department. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of our strategic and operational services across the South Tyneside and Sunderland area.

About the Role:

This substantive post is based in the paediatric department of our trust, where you will work closely with our experienced team of Disability Consultants, Associate Specialists, and specialist nurses. As a key member of our Neurodisability team, you will be responsible for contributing to the coordination and delivery of our services, reflecting national and local priorities.

The successful candidate will have a CCT in Paediatrics or equivalent, and/or be on the GMC's Specialist Register, or eligible for inclusion within 6 months of interview. You will also possess excellent leadership skills, having demonstrated good leadership qualities in previous projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of our strategic and operational services.
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Promote a positive culture and work environment, aligned with our values of respect, fairness, and civility.
