Career Teachers seeks a Specialist Learning Disability Worker to join our team at our specialist schools in East London. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people with Moderate to Severe Learning Disabilities.

About the Job:

The Specialist Learning Disability Worker will be responsible for attending to the personal needs of pupils, implementing related personal programmes, and supervising during lunchtime. They will also provide support to understand instructions and establish good relationships with pupils.

Main Duties:
  1. Attend to the personal needs of pupils, including social, health, physical, hygiene, first-aid and welfare matters.
  2. Supervise and provide support to pupils during lunchtime.
  3. Support pupils to understand instructions, particularly in literacy, numeracy, and early years to KS4.
Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is £24,500 - £28,250 per annum (£480 - £550 per week). Career Teachers is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within education.
