Job Description

As a Branch Business Manager at Brammer Buck & Hickman, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and maximizing margins at the branch level. Your key objectives will include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Ownership of sales effectiveness, trading profit performance, and gross margin generation at the branch.
  • Supporting the execution of our business strategy through sales leadership and customer engagement.
  • Ensuring consistent delivery of products to meet customer requirements through optimal mix of direct despatch and flexible localised delivery.
  • Executing contracted customer SLAs with focus on cost saving targets.
  • Driving sales performance through active management and coaching of internal sales force and external service calls to top 20 customers.
  • Ensuring revenue generation from carriage is recovered.
  • Accountability for stock management in line with supply chain processes and procedures.
  • Driving productivity, growth, and profit improvement.
Stakeholders

You will work closely with the External Sales Team, suppliers, Management team, and wider Rubix group to maximize customer account development, including proactive development of target customer accounts within the branch.

  • Clear communication and presentation skills with cultural empathy and emotional awareness to lead a team in delivering sales targets and operational fulfillment.

  • A visible and energetic manager who can enthuse and motivate a team, capture hearts and minds, and act as a true ambassador for the business.
Skills and Experience

A proven track record in B2B, preferably in general management positions, showing operating knowledge of both sales and operational development. Management of teams, including recruitment, training, and development, as well as performance management of branch teams. Previous leadership experience in a customer-centric business, new business planning, development, and implementation to demanding customer requirements, customer relationship management experience, and a strong customer service ethos.
