Job Description

As a Branch Business Manager at Brammer Buck & Hickman, you will be responsible for driving sales numbers and maximizing margins generated by the branch. You will implement a strong sales and business development culture within the branch to support our growth objectives and enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Total ownership of the sales effectiveness of the branch
  • The trading profit performance of the branch
  • The gross margin generated from all sales through the branch

You will play an influential role in sales, supporting the continued successful execution of our business strategy. You will be responsible for the execution of all contracted customer SLAs with specific focus on the achievement of contracted cost-saving targets where required within the branch.

You will drive sales performance within the branch through the active management and coaching of the internal sales force, in addition to proactively undertaking external service calls to top 20 customers. You will ensure the revenue generation from carriage is recovered and be accountable for the stock management in the branch in line with supply chain processes and procedures.

You will drive productivity, growth, and profit improvement, develop and execute sales plans to grow branch house customers – sales, margin, communication strategy. You will be accountable for branch operations, including local stock profiling, pricing, pricing updates, logistics, and health & safety.

You will work closely with the External Sales Team, suppliers, Management team, and wider Rubix group to maximize the development of all customer accounts, including proactive development of target customer accounts within the branch. Inclusive of Consignment stock reviews, Vend reviews, Agreements, and Contracts.

You will have a proven track record in B2B, preferably in general management positions (preferably in the cutting tool industry), showing an operating knowledge of both sales and operational development. You will have management experience, including recruitment, training, and development, as well as performance management of branch teams.

You will have previous leadership experience in a customer-centric business, new business planning, development, and implementation to demanding customer requirements. You will have customer relationship management experience and a strong customer service ethos.

You will demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, along with experience of leading sales and operational teams. You will be an individual who will gain credibility and win respect across the organization.

You will have process awareness and system skills, confidence with a drive to challenge and develop the performance to the next level.
