Your key objective will be to implement a strong sales and business development culture that supports the company's growth objectives and enhances the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Own the sales effectiveness of the branch, trading profit performance, and gross margin generated from all sales.
- Play a key role in sales, supporting the execution of the business strategy and delivering products to meet customer requirements.
- Responsible for executing contracted customer SLAs, focusing on cost-saving targets and customer service experience.
- Drive sales performance through active management and coaching of the internal sales force and external service calls to top customers.
- Ensure revenue generation from carriage is recovered and manage stock in the branch in line with supply chain processes.
- Develop and execute sales plans to grow branch house customers and drive productivity, growth, and profit improvement.
- Accountable for branch operations, including local stock profiling, pricing, logistics, and health & safety.
You will work closely with the External Sales Team, suppliers, Management team, and wider Rubix group to maximize customer account development, including proactive development of target customer accounts.
Competencies Required- Results-focused with a passion for winning, willing to take tough decisions and drive for stretch goals.
- Clear communication and presentation skills, with cultural empathy and emotional awareness to lead a team.
- Naturally customer-focused, with a passion for creating a market-leading proposition and customer experience.

- A proven track record in B2B, preferably in general management positions, showing operating knowledge of sales and operational development.
- Management of teams, including recruitment, training, and development, as well as performance management of branch teams.
- Previous leadership experience in a customer-centric business, with new business planning, development, and implementation to demanding customer requirements.
- Customer relationship management experience and a strong customer service ethos.
- A conscientious and disciplined attention to detail, with the proven ability to drive and deliver profitable growth.
