About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Residential Care Manager to join our team at Yvonne Lewis Group. As a Deputy Manager of Childrens Residential Care, you will be responsible for assisting the manager in safeguarding and ensuring every child and young person receives high quality care as measured by Ofsted in the social care common inspection framework.

Key aspects of the role include:

  1. To assist the manager in the management of the home, including the staff, external relationships, the budget, the resources, and the fabric of the building.
  2. To assist the manager in safeguarding and ensuring every child and young person receives high quality care as measured by Ofsted in the social care common inspection framework.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
  2. Two years' recent experience of working with children/young people who are at risk in a residential or community-based setting.
  3. Flexibility to undertake shift work including weekends, bank holidays and, with notice, occasional sleep-ins.
  4. Current Right to Work in the UK (at least for 1 year).

Interview Process

Interviews will be held virtually or in person (decision of the hiring manager) in our Head Office located in Putney, SW London. Successful candidates will be asked to attend an observation visit in a relevant home as part of our interviewing process.
