About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic town planning professional to join our Enforcement and Monitoring team as a Planning Officer. As part of a small but influential team, you will be fully involved in the day-to-day delivery of the council's Enforcement and Monitoring service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving, recording, investigating, and making recommendations on alleged breaches of planning control
  • Participating in proactive condition compliance and enforcement avoidance through monitoring of planning decisions
  • Supporting the delivery of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG)
About You

We are looking for an environmentally orientated planning professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for enforcement and monitoring. Some practical experience in local authority enforcement and site monitoring would be advantageous, but this is not essential.

You will need to be able to work to deadlines, have a personal growth mindset, and be an effective communicator with well-practised written and oral skills. A full, UK-valid driving licence is also necessary.
