About the Role

The Planning Officer will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the County Council's planning obligation database. This involves reviewing historic planning agreements and financial reports to reconcile the information contained within the database.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and understand clauses and obligations in S106 Legal Agreements and Unilateral Undertakings.
  • Analyze financial data in reports from Finance to ensure accurate data input into the County Council's planning obligation database.
  • Use professional judgment to determine if S106 contributions have been used in accordance with the terms of the legal agreement.
  • Monitor and comply with planning obligations, ensuring accurate data input into the database.
Requirements
  • Understanding of relevant Planning Legislation.
  • Familiarity with S106 Legal Agreements and the planning system.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and report complex data.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
