CV-Library is seeking a skilled Automotive Fault Analysis Professional to join its team in Oxford, Oxfordshire. This role involves conducting advanced engineering investigations and analyzing complex faults in the automotive sector.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to identify and analyze root causes of reported faults. They will develop and implement investigation strategies, design and execute tests, and document findings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze complex faults using recognized analysis processes, such as 8D and Fault Tree.
  • Lead cross-functional teams during the definition and investigation phases of 8D processes.
  • Produce high-quality engineering reports documenting investigations.
  • Plan and execute tests and trials to determine root causes of reported faults.
  • Guide Technician colleagues in their execution through clear investigation strategies.
Required Skills
  • Hold a relevant engineering qualification (e.g., mechanical or electrical).
  • Significant experience in fault or failure investigation, or test and development in a similar environment.
  • Possess considerable experience working with mechanical parts and/or machinery.
  • Practical experience in electric or rotational machines.
  • Evidence a pragmatic approach to problem-solving and apply knowledge to real-world situations.
Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a salary of £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with opportunities for career growth and development.
