About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Fault Investigator to join our team at YASA Limited. In this role, you will play a key part in investigating and resolving complex mechanical faults reported on our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine root causes of reported faults using recognized analysis processes, such as 8D, Five Whys, and Fault Tree Analysis.
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams during the definition and investigation phases of 8D processes.
  • Ensure lessons learned from investigations are documented and collated for incorporation into our product range.
  • Document investigations in a timely manner to track status and progress.
  • Conceive, plan, oversee, and execute tests and trials to establish root causes of reported faults.
  • Develop clear investigation strategies to guide Technician colleagues in their execution.
  • Document investigations accurately and thoroughly to produce engineering reports.

Requirements:

  • Hold a relevant engineering qualification (e.g., mechanical or electrical).
  • Have exposure in fault or failure investigation, or test/development in a similar environment.
  • Experience working with mechanical parts and/or machinery.
  • Pragmatic approach to problem-solving and ability to apply knowledge to real-world situations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with FMEA and 8D processes.
  • Working knowledge of various engineering materials and their applications.
  • A flexible approach and ability to succeed in a dynamic environment.

Salary Range:$80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
