Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced fault analysis engineer to join our team at Prospec Associates. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading investigations into reported faults, developing and executing testing and trial plans, and providing guidance and support to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determining the root causes of reported faults using recognised analysis processes.
  • Engaging with multidisciplinary teams during the definition and investigation phases of 8D processes.
  • Documenting investigations in a timely manner.
  • Conceiving, planning, overseeing, and executing tests and trials to establish the root causes of reported faults.

Requirements

  • A relevant engineering qualification (e.g., mechanical or electrical).
  • Experience in fault or failure investigation, or of test or development in a similar, relevant environment (e.g., automotive, aerospace, precision engineering).
  • Considerable experience working with mechanical parts and/or machinery.
  • Practical experience in the use and application of various tools and techniques for fault analysis.
