Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Buyer to join our team at our Head Office in Lutterworth. As a Buyer, you will provide commercial procurement support for the MEWPs, SV, Tracked Booms Supply Chain. Your primary responsibility will be to manage a portfolio of suppliers to ensure Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Suppliers: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure they meet our quality and delivery standards.
  • Procurement Strategy: Support the delivery of our procurement strategy, including sourcing activities that generate benefits and achieve financial savings targets.
  • RFI/RFP: Issue Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) to support the delivery of our procurement strategy.
  • Total Cost of Ownership: Manage suppliers to work on total cost of ownership activities, ensuring that we achieve the best possible value for our business.
  • Expediting: Take the lead in efficient and effective expediting to ensure that products are delivered on time and to the correct quality standards.
  • Supply Frame Agreements: Set up and maintain supply frame agreements and contracts with suppliers.
  • Consignment Stock and Kanban's: Identify suppliers to implement consignment stock and Kanban's based on their specific commodities.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience of a similar role gained within a busy commercial environment.
  • Numeracy and Accuracy: Numerate and accurate with good analytical and reporting skills.
  • Time Management: Able to work to tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Purchasing Best Practice: Good knowledge of purchasing best practice, with the ability to apply this in a commercial environment.
  • Performance Orientation: Performance orientated, with a focus on achieving results and delivering value to the business.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Driving License: Mobile and valid UK driving license.
  • Planning and Organisation: Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
