About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist Renal Dietitian to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. As a Specialist Renal Dietitian, you will play a key role in providing high-quality dietetic care to patients with acute and chronic kidney disease.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist nutritional assessment and advice to patients with acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease stages 3-5, including those requiring renal replacement therapy and renal transplant.
  • Work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, attending multidisciplinary team meetings and ward rounds to advocate for patients and escalate nutritional concerns.
  • Be actively involved in the department's clinical governance agenda, ensuring quality is achieved and maintained, and participate in audit of patient care practices, departmental task and finish groups, and champion roles.
  • Deliver training to healthcare staff, dietitians, and students, and be an active member of the out-of-hours service.
