Job Title: Specialist Renal Dietitian

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist Renal Dietitian to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. As a Specialist Renal Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in providing expert nutritional care to patients with acute and chronic kidney disease.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist nutritional assessment and advice to patients with acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease stages 3-5, including those requiring renal replacement therapy and renal transplant. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide integrated dietetic care and participate in the training of student dietitians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist nutritional assessment and advice to patients with acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease stages 3-5.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide integrated dietetic care.
  • Participate in the training of student dietitians.
  • Assist and support senior specialist dietitians and the Clinical Dietetic Manager in the day-to-day management of the department.
Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with the following qualifications and experience:

  • BSc(Hons) Nutrition & Dietetics or equivalent experience of working as a Dietitian within a healthcare setting.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Attendance on relevant specialist accredited post-graduate courses at post-graduate diploma level or equivalent.
