Radiation Protection Expertise Required

Rolls-Royce Submarines is seeking a skilled Senior Health Physicist to join their Radiation Protection team at Raynesway. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing radiation protection expertise to support nuclear licensed sites at Raynesway within the Core Manufacture business unit.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as radiation protection lead for nuclear new build projects and decommissioning.
  • Providing practical and technical advice to all levels of the business to maintain compliance with statutory legislation and industry best practice.
  • Undertaking radiation risk assessments and supporting the implementation of effective risk management controls.
  • Critically reviewing, analysing and summarising data to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
  • Identifying, implementing and monitoring appropriate radiological protection measures to ensure work is carried out safely and in line with best practice.
