Edinburgh, Edinburgh, United Kingdom City of Edinburgh Council Full time

City of Edinburgh Council is committed to improving the lives of our youngest learners.

We are currently recruiting for Senior Early Years Intervention Officers as part of the Early Learning and Childcare Expansion, funded by the Scottish Government.

This post provides an excellent opportunity for anyone who has a degree or working towards a degree qualification within early years.

SEYIOs work directly with children in identified settings, providing high-quality training to support intervention work and improve outcomes.

The role appeals to practitioners who want to develop their skills and make a difference in closing the poverty-related attainment gap.

This position requires the preferred candidate to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Scheme or undergo a Scheme update check.

We're committed to creating a workplace culture where all our people feel valued, included, and able to be their best at work.

To achieve this, we've changed our interview approach to assess candidates' thinking and how they bring our core values - Respect, Integrity, and Flexibility - into their work.

We believe that a diverse workforce brings numerous benefits to our organisation, and we're eager to attract individuals from various backgrounds and experiences.

A salary range of £37,000-£44,000 per annum (pro rata for sessional) is offered, along with 36 hours of work per week, 39 weeks per year. The successful candidate will also receive comprehensive training to support their development.
