Job Summary

As a Senior Early Years Practitioner at the Highland Council, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality early learning and childcare experience for children. This involves working effectively as an member of the nursery team to ensure the delivery of early level learning and providing a leadership role for other early years staff.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have 3 years of post-qualifying experience working with young children, preferably in an Early Learning and Childcare Setting or family support service. They will hold a recognised qualification in Childcare and Education and be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Work as an effective member of the nursery team to ensure the delivery of early level learning.
  2. Provide a leadership role for other early years staff to ensure the delivery of early level learning.
  3. Ensure parents are actively engaged in participating in their children's learning journey.

Requirements

  • 3 years post-qualifying experience working with young children.
  • Recognised qualification in Childcare and Education.
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council.
