About the Role

The Business Development Manager plays a critical role in building and maintaining strong relationships with Consultants affiliated with the hospital. Their focus is on recruiting new Consultants, strengthening connections with existing ones, and increasing patient referrals to support all service areas within the hospital and across HCA.

This key position identifies growth opportunities across the range of services provided at each facility. As a trusted advisor, the Business Development Manager fosters long-term relationships to enhance Consultant loyalty, satisfaction, and productivity, working to align them with the facility's goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with senior hospital leadership, the CEO, Head of Business Development, and HCA Business Development teams to assess current referral patterns, trends, and financial margins, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  2. Monitor and track net revenue growth, volume, and activity resulting from targeted consultant engagement using defined metrics.
  3. Evaluate, analyse, and interpret market data for each Consultant and service area, identifying priorities based on facility market share and usage.
  4. Gather and share market intelligence to support recruitment efforts, communicating relevant insights to the Business Development team.
  5. Develop specific goals and timelines for establishing new Consultant practices at HCA facilities.
  6. Coordinate specialty group meetings as directed by the CEO to foster collaboration and growth in specific service lines.
  7. Organize meetings, seminars, and networking events to encourage cross-referrals, increased case numbers, and consultant engagement.
  8. Identification of communication preferences and use of customized approach for each Consultant, including recommended meeting cadence with executive team.
Requirements
  1. Educated to degree level.
  2. At least 3 years' experience working with management teams.
  3. Excellent IT skills: competency using all MS office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  4. Previous hospital-based clinical/ operational experience would be an advantage.
  5. Ability to research, understand, and explain healthcare services' volume, utilization, and market data.
Salary and Benefits

We estimate the salary for this position to be around £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, pension plan, and professional development opportunities.
