About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Care First - Elliot Lodge. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred support and care to clients with disabilities, enabling them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support and promote the development of clients attending our provision, meeting their social care and support needs.
  • Work closely with the Hub Manager to deliver educational and learning activities, promoting a quality and professional service at all times.
  • Offer concise and accurate feedback to the Hub Manager on learner progress, ensuring assessments are focused and learning direction clear.
  • Be aware of and adhere to fire regulations and health and safety policies, promoting a safe environment for students and colleagues.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Experience working with adults with learning difficulties, disabilities, autism, and mental health conditions.
  • Ability to work with individuals who may exhibit challenging behavior.
  • Desirable: knowledge and experience of autism and mental health, NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care - Adults.
