Job Title: Financial Controller EMEA

Job Summary:

Collinson, a global company dedicated to enhancing travel experiences, seeks a highly skilled Financial Controller to lead its EMEA region. As a key member of the Global Controllership organization, you will be responsible for managing financial reporting, accounting, and regulatory compliance across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly managerial reporting for the EMEA region, in line with group timelines and as agreed with the VP Commercial Finance EMEA.
  • Financial Accounting: Maintain a robust financial control environment, assess risks, and adapt controls accordingly, driving a culture of control ownership.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with group policy, FRS 102 (UK GAAP), and local GAAP (IFRS), as well as regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Technical Accounting: Research and produce technical accounting papers for new or modified contracts, and lead on applying group policy and technical accounting in respect of new and modified contracts.
  • Statutory Accounts: Deliver statutory accounts for all relevant entities in the region.
  • External Audit: Lead and project manage the EMEA and Central Functions external audit processes.
  • Tax Compliance: Accountable for accurate filings of tax returns in multiple jurisdictions, with support and oversight from group tax.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) from a big four or mid-sized national audit firm, having progressed through to manager or senior manager level.
  • Experience: Extensive experience within industry working in a large multinational organization performing/reviewing the month-end close and reporting process.
  • Technical Accounting Knowledge: Strong in-depth technical accounting knowledge and experience (FRS102 & IFRS preferred).
  • Financial Control Processes: Experience in design and implementation of financial control processes and policies (SOX).
  • Organizational and Project Management Skills: Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines.
  • Communication and Collaboration Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills, with the ability to interact confidently with senior stakeholders across multiple functions and time zones.
