Job Summary

The Field Service Engineer is a critical role at Vertex IT Solutions Ltd, responsible for providing exceptional onsite service and support to our customers. This includes technical assistance with Microsoft core business applications, virtual environments, and Microsoft-related technologies such as Windows Server, Exchange, and SQL. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to implement disaster recovery solutions, and provide remote access solution implementation and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • IT Support: Provide technical assistance with IT issues involving Microsoft's core business applications, virtual environments, and Microsoft-related technologies.
  • Disaster Recovery: Implement and support disaster recovery solutions to ensure minimal downtime for our customers.
  • Remote Access: Implement and support remote access solutions, including VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Professional IT certifications such as Microsoft MCP, MCSA, or MCSE, Citrix CCEA or CCIA, SonicWall CSSA, Cisco CCNA, or VMware VCP.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, including telephony skills, communication skills, active listening, and customer care.
  • Service Awareness: Service awareness of all organisation's key IT services for which support is being provided.
