The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Chef Manager to lead our catering operations in schools. The successful candidate will have full responsibility for the kitchen, including menu development, food quality, and staff management.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop a high-performing kitchen team
- Manage food costs, labor, and inventory
- Ensure consistency of food quality and service standards
- Develop and implement new menu ideas and promotions
- Manage and improve controllable costs
- Oversee health and safety practices
- Collaborate with the management team to achieve business objectives
- OND or HND qualification in a culinary field (desirable)
- Experience in a similar environment, preferably in a school setting
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Financial acumen and ability to manage budgets
- Competitive hourly rate of £14
- 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday during term time
